Popular North East La Penitence resident Vibert Weekes was gunned down shortly after midnight today outside of the Red Dragon night club in Robb Street, Weekes, known as ‘Vibee’, was shot at about six times in the head, arms and side just as he had arrived at the location with his girlfriend.
According reports, Weekes and his girlfriend had left a popular Alberttown night
spot just minutes before his execution-style killing.
Kaieteur News understands that Weekes arrived at the Red Dragon and had just
emerged from his car when a lone gunman came up to him and opened fire, riddling
Weekes with bullets.
The gunman reportedly then fled into Alexander Street.
Weekes was rushed to the Woodlands Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Kaieteur News was told that Weekes and his associates would normally visit the
Red Dragon on Fridays.
